How to Connect Using Storz

Storz adapters, couplings, hydrant converters and caps are a standardized attachment used throughout the North American fire industry and worldwide. It features a hook-and-flange linking system that makes coupling and uncoupling easier, for emergency response and life or death situations. Storz couplings are sexless, unlike National Hose or National Standard Thread (NH/NST) and National Pipe Straight Hose Thread (NPSH), meaning they are identical on both ends. This prevents errors in firefighting, and allows the hose to be stored with either coupling on the inside.
