The Matata Doc Camp is a hidden gem nestled between Tauranga and Whakatane in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. It is the only DOC Campsite in the area and it's a fantastic surfcasting and drone fishing destination.

We'll be doning some drone fishing using our trusty DJI Phantom 3. Learn about our unique setup, featuring a Shimano reel with a braided line that allows us to feel every bite, even at 300 meters. Experimenting with a Kabura-type sinker adds an exciting twist to the day's fishing, and you won't want to miss the surprises it brings!
