Remembering June Foray (1917-2017)

Today's a sad day for classic cartoon fans like myself, for the legendary cartoon voice actress June Foray sadly passed away yesterday at the age of 99, about a month and a half shy of her 100th birthday. To me, she was well known for doing the voice of Granny from the Looney Tunes series, the longest lasting original LT voice actor. But she did a lot more characters than just Granny. She was also Witch Hazel from Looney Tunes, Rocky from Rocky and Bullwinkle, Grandma Dynamite from The Flintstones, Madame Argentina from The Powerpuff Girls, Jokey Smurf from The Smurfs, and so much more. I dont know what's going to happen to some of her characters, but I know one thing. She left behind a big legacy as a cartoon voice actor, and that legacy will live on forever. All I can say right now is, we will really miss you a whole lot June Foray, and we'll always remember you and the many characters that you played. You weren't the female version of Mel Blanc, Mel Blanc was the male version of you. Bullwinkle's up there waiting for you.
