50% Faster Than a 2080 Ti ? RTX 3080 Ti REVIEW & Benchmarks Vs GeForce RTX 3080 2080 Ti & RX 6800 XT

Nvidia's newest gaming flagship, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is launching, and here we are with a full review and benchmarks for the card to show you how it performs. The RTX 3080 Ti is pitted here against the RTX 2080 Ti (which Nvidia claims its 50 percent faster than), the RTX 3080, and finally AMD's RX 6800 XT.

The RTX 3080 Ti uses Nvidia's GA102 silicon, with 12GB of GDDR6X memory, 10240 CUDA cores and 80 RT units with 320 Tensor Cores. Nvidia is targeting the RTX 3080 Ti at high end gamers, whilst the RTX 3090 is designed to find its audience with content creators and those who need the extra 12GB of VRAM.

In our testing, the RTX 3080 Ti is about 10 - 15 percent faster than its brother, the RTX 3080, and does (as Nvidia claims) sit comfortably ahead of the RTX 2080 Ti. AMD's RX 6800 XT (we didn't have a Radeon RX 6900 XT on-hand) also puts up a great fight for itself in traditional rasterization performance, but of course, AMD's card does lose out in RT and currently, we don't have FSR to test out.

The MSRP of the Founders Edition RTX 3080 Ti is 1200 USD, and does feature a mining limitor for Etherum mining, however in our testing, other currencies such as Raven Coin aren't affected. For Nvidia enthusiasts, or those unable to get an RTX 3080 at MSRP, the RTX 3080 Ti is a great card, and definitely the fastest 'gaming focused' card from Nvidia. But for most gamers, the RTX 3080 is the better buy - assuming you could buy one closer to MSRP.
