To make the centre of the poppy use Green Yarn:
12 Double crochet into a magic circle and connect.
Second round - use Black Yarn – 1 Double crochet (insert the hook into front loop of the green chain) 1dc; 1 ch; 1dc; 1ch (12 double crochet stitches)
First row of the first petal - use Red Yarn: 3 Treble crochet into back loop of the first green chain, 3 Treble crochet into back loop of the second green chain, 3 Treble crochet into back loop of the third green chain.
Turn over. Into each tr stitch from previous round work 2 Treble crochet. Cast off.
Second petal - starts with 3 Treble crochet stitches into back loop of the 4th green chain, 3 Treble crochet stitches into back loop of the 5th green chain, 3 Treble crochet stitches into back loop of the 6th green chain.
Turn over. Into each tr stitch from previous round work 2 Treble crochet. Cast off.
etc.
Crochet 4 Petals.
