Design Phase 2024 | TU Delft Hydro Motion Team

Only four months ago, our journey began with a diverse group of 23 students united by an ambitious mission: to construct a hydrogen-powered boat within just one year. We dove into an in-depth analysis of the previous team’s designs, sought insights from alumni, sketched a multitude of concepts and explored various options. All to allow room for innovation and the possibility of fresh ideas.

Transitioning into the sub-level concept phase, our focus shifted to creating more dimensioned designs of our boat. During the detailed design phase, every component needed to be designed in a way that it could be produced and assembled in the final design of our boat.

Our next milestone is turning our design into reality, transitioning from a concept to our innovative boat that is designed in a way to navigate the rough waters of the North Sea. During the upcoming months, we will move onto the production phase where we will build and assemble our hydrogen-powered boat.
