BARN FIND RESCUE! 1968 Hurst/Olds rescued from stock car fate?!

This 1968 Hurst/Olds was going to be turned into a stock car. The owner Joe rescued it before that could happen. It is a basically all original 1968 Hurst/Olds, which was the first year for that model. It would go on to be some of the most sought after Muscle Cars. This was the beginning.

If it hadn't been for the wrecked quarter panel it would have been a true survivor. The car to the best of our knowledge sat as a barn find for decades before the previous owner pulled this muscle car out and was going to turn it into a stock car.

Now it is undergoing a full frame-off restoration in Wisconsin! Thankfully not like the other Barn Finds I come across that are still sitting.
