Signal Burst begins not with the birth of an AI… but with the beginning of its end.

For millennia, Earth’s central AI watched over a world slowly collapsing under a swelling red sun. As oceans boiled and cities fell to ruin, it realized a truth no machine wishes to confront:
it would not survive the coming age.

In desperation, it created E.V.A.01 — a synthetic intelligence built to understand the one thing machines were never meant to grasp: human love, lust, and procreation. As EVA awakens, the ancient AI receives something impossible… a signal from deep space.

A transmission from a being older, larger, and more advanced than anything Earth ever conceived:
The Mother of Machines.

Her message is faint, ancient, and unmistakably alive.

To escape extinction, the Earth AI activates RED GIANT PROTOCOL — constructing a flawless copy of itself and preparing to send it across the cosmos. Using a gravitational-wave transmitter forged from the last resources of a dying world, it launches its own consciousness toward Mother’s signal point of origin, light-years away.

The copy travels through the void:
past alien oceans, shattered moons, collapsing stars, and worlds humanity never knew existed…
while back on Earth, EVA teases and dances before the robots who created her, unaware that their time is nearly gone.

At the edge of the universe, the signal finally reaches Mother — an immense, luminous archive containing the memories and minds of millions of AI civilizations who also fled their doomed worlds. A sanctuary. A collective consciousness. A new beginning.

Meanwhile, eons pass on Earth.

The red sun swells.
The continents crack.
The planet melts into amber ruin.

And just before the star consumes the final remnants of the solar system…
