This is a video from Atlanta's Kyle Kessler, who writes:

"While on the campaign trail last fall, now-mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms said private developments that get public dollars should have community benefits agreements (CBAs) – a legally-enforceable contract between affected community groups and the developer.

Although the proposed redevelopment of the Gulch includes a list of “public interest initiatives,” the City has not worked with the developer and the community to work up an actual, enforceable CBA that addresses what the community wants.

The mayor may have finished negotiating, but now it’s time to let the community negotiate!

Contact your Atlanta City Council representatives and tell them there should be no deal until there’s a CBA."
