Tank is situated in Denagama Village along the Hakmana - Walasmulla Road, southern Sri Lanka.
Denagama tank constructed in 1890 by across both Heendola (small stream) and Madola (Large stream). This tank is situated in Denagama village hence the tank called Denagama tank.

It is situated in the very beautiful place.This lake helps the fishing industry of the area.People use the over of the lake for New year ceremonies.There is a famous temple near the lake.Many Tourists come to see the place.The lake spread in a wast area.There various kinds of fish.
