This city, known as "Zeruan," remains a mystery to historians and explorers, as no written records of it have ever been found. However, the wealth and wisdom of Zeruan were frequently described in ancient myths and legends. According to these stories, the people of Zeruan were skilled astronomers, experts at watching the sky. They could read the movement of the stars like the ticking of a clock and predict future disasters. At the very heart of the city stood a towering structure: the "Eye Tower." Only one person lived in this tower: the Wise Seer Aremu. It was said that Aremu could see the future, but his prophecies were not the result of mere whimsy. They were based on information he gathered from the stars and the signs of nature. One day, Aremu gathered the people in the town square and made a prophecy: A great flood would come, swallowing not only Zeruan but the entire world. However, when that day arrived, only those who trusted the Eye Tower would survive. These words caused a great panic in the city. Some listened to the seer, gathering their belongings and heading towards the tower. But most people thought he had gone mad. The people of Zeruan were wealthy; their lands were fertile, and their rivers were always full. They believed such a catastrophe was impossible. On the day of the great flood, exactly one year after Aremu’s prophecy, a violent earthquake struck. Rivers began to overflow, and the sky turned dark. Not a single star was visible. It was as if the sun had failed to rise. Within a few hours, the city was submerged in water and mud. As people fled in panic, only those who had trusted Aremu sought refuge in the Eye Tower. The people in the tower survived, but the city was completely destroyed. Aremu spoke to the survivors, saying: "The wisdom of Zeruan was not hidden only in the stars; it was also in your faith. When observation and intuition come together, any storm can be overcome. Today, the location of Zeruan remains a mystery. Archaeologists continue to search the lands of Mesopotamia for this lost city, but the stories of the tower and the great flood have become myths and legends in many cultures. Yet, on some nights, when watching the stars, a shadow resembling a tower appears on the horizon, reminding us that Aremu’s legacy still hides somewhere. Perhaps Zeruan is a place that only the brave can find.
