Schwarz is Roland Meyer de Voltaire. Singer, creative multi talent and cosmopolite. Born to German-Bolivian parents he grew up in Bonn, Dublin, Moscow and Beijing. Initially an outsider and stranger everywhere, he gradually forged closer bonds, gained new friends and used music as a steady companion, often even as his first mode of communication. We first heard about him and his talents thanks to his first single “Home”. We now find again his unique voice in his second single, “In Your Eyes”, where we can also hear how good he is as a producer: electronic sounds and beats are here blended to classical elements. Schwarz: “With ‘In Your Eyes’ I want to motivate people to look into someone’s eyes and see what connects, not what distinguishes us”. The unique video was shot in North Korea, the world’s most isolated society and goes behind the world’s last iron curtain. It was created in collaboration with the Russian director Vitali Manski using scenes from his film “Under the Sun”. Schwarz is an acute, intelligent and attentive artist, looking at the contemporary world. He sings and talks about subject he cares and looks at us straight in the eyes, touching the soul of his listeners.
