A hydro shouldn't be hard on the fingers and hand. A mod I've been using for years to give my fingers and hand a break on a long day mowing. Greatly reduced the feel like I am working out at the gym with my fingers. Carpal tunnel isn't good. Follow manufacturer instructions and any mods can void the warranty or cause injury.
