91% of the global population are exposed to air pollution. As keen cyclists in London, we’re certainly familiar with pollution, and, despite a lot of searching, we never found a mask that met our needs. So we set out to create one.

Before we get into it, we wanted say this: we understand it’s not the most natural thing to put a mask on your face. We also know that all the other masks out there are so hot, uncomfortable, embarrassing (Darth Vader effect is real), and sometimes they have little gaps in the side, so they don’t even work properly!

So almost a year ago, we teamed up with some incredible partners, including industry-leading experts at Brunel University, to create a mask that’s more comfortable, cleaner and smarter. Meet the Airhead mask.

Our filters efficiently block 99% of PM2.5 particulate matter and can remove particles that are as small as 0.3 microns in size. We are striving to obtain FFP3 (N99) certification. This can only be achieved once the first batch of masks have been manufactured and tested using independent test houses. We are using filters that exceed the requirements for FFP3 (N99).

The activated carbon layer harmful removes gases, including nitrogen oxide, sulphur dioxide and ozone. They also remove unwanted smells and vapours from organic compounds.

Our filter provides effective filtration of natural pollutants such as fine particulate matter from smoke, dust and pollen.

The mask can effectively block pollen particles - don’t let your seasonal allergies prevent you from exercising outdoors!

Through the entire design process, we've relentlessly focused on what customers (in our loyal Airhead community) want. Not only has this enabled us to create something we're very proud of, it's produced some wonderful feedback.

With our innovative team of designers at Brunel University, we went the extra mile to make this mask as comfortable as possible. We used a design-led innovation process to create a mask that maximises breathability through the filters and valves (more on that below), then we carefully selected textiles that are kind to your skin.

Nobody wants to look or feel silly, but everyone wants to be safe. We’ve bombarded our early Airhead community with questions to find out exactly what people want. We’ve been listening every step of the way. We’re delivering a mask that you’ll be proud to be seen in, and we’re changing the perception of what it means to be protected against pollution.

We wanted to create a product that we’d recommend to our nearest and dearest. The Airhead mask leaves no stone unturned, and provides users with outstanding protection against air pollution. Firstly we have our unique airtight seal. Secondly, our filters exceed the top European regulatory standard; they block 99% of PM2.5 particulates, and even remove particles down to PM0.3. The activated carbon layer stops gases such as nitrogen oxide, sulphur dioxide and ozone.

We’ve gone to great lengths to find the best possible suppliers of each component of our mask. It’s so important to us that we provide you with a product that meets the highest quality standards. By being geographically close to these key partners, we’re also able to foster better relationships, can run a tighter ship and ultimately deliver a superior product to you.
