In the middle of June I planted some seeds that I had saved... 6 plants seeds ended up being kabocha squash and 2 were fuzzy gourds (another video on the gourds soon).

These pumpkins were extremely exciting for my boys as they went out each morning to water and count the pumpkins. Out of 6 plants, we only got 8 pumpkins. The biggest is 5.14 pounds, and the smallest is just over 1 pound. One of the pumpkins was actually grown in the same pot as the fuzzy gourd.

This was our first time planting kabocha squash—they were so fun to watch that we planted some more seeds on 8/15/19 to see if they would grow this late in the season.
