Dashcam captures driver's wheely lucky escape after car crashes through central reservation

After its driver lost consciousness, a wheel flies off the car and smashes into oncoming traffic on a busy dual carriageway



This driver had a wheely lucky escape after an oncoming car crashed through the central reservation on a busy dual carriageway.

Captured by the car's dashcam camera in Brazil, the accident shows the shocking way in which it is possible to be snapped out of your driving trance by imminent peril at any moment.

Heading along the outside lane, everything is calm until the white car - whose driver had lost consciousness - suddenly rears over then smashes along the top of the concrete divider.

Fortunately it does not make it all the way over into oncoming traffic - but one of its wheels flies off and towards shocked drivers.

It strikes the window of the car recording the footage, but the glass does not seem to break.

A description of the video posted online claims that it "went through the windscreen of a vehicle coming the other way but nobody was in the passenger seat where it hit".

It is not clear whether that refers to a different vehicle.

No one is thought to have been hurt in the accident.
