Exploring the POOREST province in Cambodia! Kampong Thom - Cambodia's less traveled gem! 🇰🇭

Visiting Cambodia for my first time in over a decade, I covered a lot of new ground and explored places that I previously had not. I decided to visit some areas that most tourists skip on their route through Cambodia. After a bit of research, I learned that Kampong Thom is the poorest province in Cambodia and it is also the home province of the late Khmer brutal dictator, Pol Pot.
The experience truly was surreal. I left a part of my heart on those dirt roads in rural Cambodia.
