In this talk, Lt. Cdr Sadhana Giri speaks about how even though feminism is a global movement the ground reality is far from achieving it and so she insists women continue their fight for equality at workplace but secure their finances by following their passion. She beautifully explains the concept of time, money, passion, purpose and happiness. In the end she gives a formula to thrive and add meaning to your life passion forward and not purpose forward. She wants women to be their own centre and give birth to their purpose through passion. It is passion which brings joy and happiness and anything created with passion can add greater value to this world. The formula to lead a prosperous, meaningful and a fulfilled life is Passion +joy (happiness) = purpose =fulfilment
Known as a norm breaker, a rebel and one those at a young stage did not let patriarchal society to cage her life and limit her destiny into the households. Became the first woman from her community to have joined the armed forces and first from my district to have joined the coveted force of the Indian Navy . Post retirement explored the world with her children including her infant son, which earned him a record of being the most traveled infant of India. Participated in pageant in Greece and bagged a title of Mrs India World wide pride of Nation, coaching became a calling, founded her company and now also got into restaurant business. She has always ventured the unseen and less familiar path but managing to earn a good name for herself !
