Today I'm sharing 3 ChatGPT prompts for screenwriting that I've personally found valuable in my process of putting a movie script together.

ChatGPT is an AI language model that I use to help me with my screenwriting process. One of the ways that I use ChatGPT is to help me write action lines when the words aren't coming to me. Here are the chapters of the videos if you'd like to jump to specific sections:

Here's a quick summary of the video:

I often have an idea for a film- but, I’m not sure if you can relate, when I get an idea, it’s usually started as a small seed and then built up into a beanstalk of an intention that it’s all over the place with loads of excitement attached to it.

I find that if I input an idea into ChatGPT and ask it to pull a logline from what I’ve inputted, then I can often get some clarity on the idea.

I feel as though dialogue is where I come alive in the screenwriting process. The action lines are not where I show off- well, now thanks to AI- I am able to express myself better. See, I need AI- I find that if I ask it for suggestions on how to improve action lines- then “he smiles at her as she enters the room” turns into something more exciting for someone else to read.

Please note that I always adjust these suggestions so that they seamlessly integrate with my screenplay. It’s not a copy-and-paste kind of thing.

If I find that I’m in a bit of a funk regarding a section of a screenplay, I ask ChatGPT to ask me questions so that I can figure out why this part of my screenplay isn’t working.
