【高画質NY マンハッタン散歩】真冬のイースト・エンド街をゆく - walking around East End Avenue, Manhattan, NYC

アメリカ、ニューヨーク、マンハッタン、Upper East Side (アッパー・イースト・サイド)の最西端の街道、East End Avenueを散歩します。
その全長は、79丁目から90丁目まで、わずか11丁の長さです。ゆっくりとジョギングしても、10分もかからずに縦断できる距離です。(約900m)

とても静かな閑静な住宅街です。Carl Schurz公園に隣接しており、イースト・リバーから徒歩3分。
あえて不便な点を挙げるとすれば、最寄りの地下鉄の駅が２番街まで徒歩で15分くらいかかることです。

Carl Schurz公園と89丁目にはNY市長官邸があります。
また、90丁目とイースト・リバーの川沿いにフェリー乗り場があります。

East End Avenue is the furthest eastern avenue in upper east side, Manhattan, NYC, spanning across 79th street to 90th street, which takes mere several minutes of jogging. Adjacent to Carl Schurz park, the whole neighborhood is mostly quiet residential building.

Other notable aspects of the neighborhood is by 89th street, on Carl Schurz park, there is NYC mayor's residence, which is heavily guarded with NYPD of course. One interesting anecdote is when the billionaire Michael Bloomberg became the mayor, he was the first mayor who chose not to live in this residence because he had a better, more luxurious residence in upper east side.

Also on 90th street by the riverside, there is a ferry station.

Overall, if you are a tourist, not much to see, unless you just somehow wanna see a quiet neighborhood for the locals.
