A special treat, we were able to film a couple session with Chinese Brush Painting Master Ning Yeh. Ning Yeh became well known in the United States in the 1980s as the star of the Emmy Award winning instructional television series Chinese Brush Painting with Ning Yeh. This series aired nationally on the Learning Channel for a year.

He then self produced many follow-ups to that series which aired on PBS around the country. He was also the principle artist for the paper company Weyerhauser and produced many paintings over a decade that were icons of the company's branding and the subject of television commercials featuring actor Jeff Bridges narrating.

Ning has retired from full time teaching and is focused on painting. He like many of the Chinese Painting masters before him is finding his creative peak during this period of his life.

We had the pleasure of filming a couple episodes with him including this beautiful lotus.
