Zakopane | Hiking to Lake Morskie Oko in Tatra Mountain National Park in Poland

In this video we share our short summer trip to the beautiful alpine town of Zakopane in Poland. This town borders Slovakia and the Tatra Mountain National Park. This town is full of hiking trails including the popular Morskie Oko trail that leads to the Morskie Oko lake. There are views of the mountains as well as a waterfall, and even mountain flowers along the trail. The lake has a beautiful backdrop of the Tatra Mountains and is popular with locals and tourists seeking nature activities. The town of Zakopane is full of charm, has great alpine style buildings with wooden architecture as well as wooden churches that are specific to this European town. There is no shortage of shops and restaurants to enjoy as well.

We are Nick and Karen, a couple of early retirees who love travel and adventure. We are currently living like nomads slow traveling the world! We spent the summer in Krakow Poland and absolutely fell in love with this beautiful country as well as the culture, food, and people.
