The - a/an- One

L'articolo determinativo "THE" e gli articoli indeterminativi "a" e "an. Quando si usa One al posto di a/an.

The= il, lo, la, i, gli, le (l'articolo the si usa davanti a nomi singolari e plurali per indicare persone o cose precise
-the si usa anche prima di nomi o di cose uniche come il sole "the sun" il re "the king"
- L'articolo si mette solo davanti ai nomi di stati al Plurale (the United States) oppure quando sono presenti le parole KINGDOM, REPUBLIC, FEDERATION.
A/AN = UN, UNO,UNA
- Si trova davanti ad un nome singolare numerabile e indica una cosa o una persona non ben specificata oppure nominata per la prima volta.
- Si usa a davanti a nomi che cominciano per consonante o h aspirata,w e y ( a cat, a house, a window, a year)
-Si usa an davanti a nomi che cominciano per vocale o h muta: (an appointment, an only child, an English lesson, an hour)
