Women’s Forum Australia CEO Rachael Wong claims Olympic gold medal-winning boxer Imane Khelif is trying to use legal action to “silence debate” after new calls surfaced questioning her eligibility for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“A lot of the people who watched thought this was incredibly unfair, including for Khelif, because there should have been policies which allowed males to be competing against women in the first place,” Ms Wong told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“Now Khelif is actually going after the reporters who are reporting on the issue, which, as we’ve seen, seems to be the weapon of choice, legal action trying to silence debate around these important issues.”
