Tesla Model Y - Trailer Brake

Towing in the Tesla Model Y requires consideration of equipment to help you safely tow your cargo. Trailer brakes are present in trailers over 3,000 lbs, and many under 3,000 lbs.

If your trailer has brakes, you are going to need to get a trailer brake. The Tesla Model Y does not have an integrated trailer brake system, so adding one to the car is required.

I will walk you through how to install a trailer brake on the Tesla Model Y, and also show you what trailer brake module we used. You do need to pick up a harness from Tesla as well, which is overviewed in this video.
