Sunray is Down | The Falklands War

The Falkland Islands, 28th May 1982, British troops from 2nd Battalion, the Parachute Regiment (2 Para), fight their way forward under heavy fire. Their objective is the Argentine held settlement at Goose Green. They’re outnumbered, outgunned, and 'Sunray is down'! Their commanding officer, Lieutenant Colonel Herbert Jones, was dead, killed in action as he stormed an Argentinian gun position in Gorse Gulley. It’s their most desperate bloody battle since World War II and victory is far from certain.

Veterans Major Phil Neame and Corporal John Geddes return to the South Atlantic to retrace their steps over the ground they fought over. They revisit emotional memories of desperate no-holds-barred mortal combat, and face some of the demons carried with them in the decades since.
