How to STOP Topping the Golf Ball!

If you are wondering why you are topping the golf ball, it is most likely because you are trying to help the golf ball into the air. This happens when you lean back in an attempt to scoop the ball off the ground.

The problem with this is it causes your swing arc to bottom too early resulting in a strike above the equator line.

In this golf lesson, PGA pro Kerrod Gray and Chris Mayson demonstrate how to stop topping the golf ball with your fairway woods, hybrids, driver, irons and wedges. If you are topping the golf ball use this drill to make better contact with your strikes.
