Merging the meticulous intricate work of shadow embroideries sewn with fine silk threads on transparent muslins, the alloy of silk fabric and wood, the paintings on leather executed by the artists from the Royal Prussian atelier, painted cameos of the landscape surrounding the Sanssouci of Potsdam Castle, corset and lace tunic gowns, bejewelled ostrich leather tops, jackets in ‘sabrée’ silk. Memories of Madagascar, a butterfly pinned to a shoulder, sculpted terracotta beads made into a jewellery accessory. The jewellery is suspended from the ear to the nose reminiscent of the adornment worn by Indian Gypsies.
