This is on Brutal Nightmare, as hard as the game gets. Woohoo
Here are a few Brutal tips.
Keep your distance, you have gun not a sword
To see if you have a medkit, throw it. If nothing comes out, you don't have one.
Don't walk in front of other players unless you don't mind getting shot
On PS, at least, press triangle to monitor you ammo
Medkit and ammo zombies are not highlighted, so look for their bodies to stomp them out and get their goodies
