Visited the southern half of Mosquito Lagoon and Beacon 42 this week. I must have picked a tough day though, because it was exactly that. Caught a few fish early but then the bite more or less shut down. Even resorting to soaking and sight casting with cut ladyfish didn't get it done, once the fish stopped eating, but close up encounters with giant tarpon, gator trout and multiple redfish did make it more fun than it should have been.
