Rebecca Netflix Review

"Rebecca" starring Armie Hammer and Lily James is a remake of the 1940 Alfred Hitchcock classic based off the book by Daphne Du Maurier. When I heard the were doing a remake I was immediately excited yet confused, why remake a Best Picture Winner? Then I heard the casting of Armie Hammer and my expectations hit the floor. (I"ve never enjoyed his work). The film isn't horrible but my fears were met when this creepy romantic thriller became dull and lackluster. I applaud Netflix for releasing new films weekly and this is one of their better ones, but that's not saying much. Netflix's track record hasn't been great. If you've never seen the OG you'll enjoy this more than I did, but give it a shot.
