Ride the Yaman Express, Hindustani Bandish MashUp, Raag Yaman, Teentaal. This Indian classical music piece brings together two high energy raag Yaman Bandish songs, Aao Balma and Mein Wari Wari, mashed up with self-composed Tarana and Sargams, adding new age touches. The music arrangement for this Hindustani Yaman mix is by Venkatesh Viswanathan. The artists performing this classical fusion are Venkatesh Viswanathan (Vocals), Sreetoma Bandyopadhyay (Vocals), Anirudh Sharma (Tabla), Sarvesh Karthick (Mridangam, Cajon, Kanjira), Saigovind Vijayaraghavan (Mandolin) and Niveditha Arun (Veena).

The music starts slow…. with a self-composed catchy Tarana that increases in speed to set the tempo. Aao Balma is sung by Venkatesh, accompanied by the Mandolin & Mridangam which gives a subtle Carnatic feel. Mein Wari is rendered by Sreetoma, keeping to traditional Hindustani Bandish style, accompanied by the Tabla and Veena. The two songs are mashed up with creative Sargams, small Taranas and instrumental pieces. The mashup ends on a high energy note where all musicians join in to render the catchy Tarana in “express” speed.
