How Push-Back Racking Systems Work

Описание к видео How Push-Back Racking Systems Work

Push-Back Rack is a high-density and space saving storage solution.

These systems will help you maximize warehouse space and productivity by eliminating aisles and reducing forklift travel time.

Each push-back lane can store up to 7 pallets deep and multiple levels high.

Push Back works by placing pallets over carts that ride on slightly inclined rails.

To load, forklifts should place the first pallet on top of the first cart, and as additional pallets are loaded in, the first pallet is pushed back, and the new pallet is set on front. This continues until the last pallet is loaded.

To unload, the process is reversed, as the front pallet is unloaded, the second pallet will slide to the front of the system lane for easy access.

In push-back systems all pallets are loaded and unloaded from the same side, making this a Last-In, First Out (LIFO) inventory rotation system.

Push-back racks offer an efficient storage solution for companies with a high-volume inventory turnover.

Advantages of Push-Back Racking

• The ability to provide both selective storage and high-density storage.
• This system can offer up to 2 to 3 times more storage space compared to standard selective rack.
• Because forklifts don’t enter the system, the uprights are less exposed to damage.
• Push-Back racks are an excellent choice for cold storage or freezers.
• Excellent space optimization enables you to keep costs down.
