McAllen Heritage Center presents Country Roland

"Called to Higher Service" honoree Roland Garcia Sr.

The McAllen Heritage Center - Museum of McAllen history opened to the public during June 2008. We welcome you to visit us and enjoy learning about McAllen's colorful history! We have story-telling sessions, children's activities, an educational "Traveling Trunks" program, and many more projects that are under development.

The museum is located inside the historic old McAllen Post Office building now known as "La Placita" directly across from JC Penney in downtown McAllen, and is open Wednesday through Friday from 1pm to 5pm and Saturday 11am to 4pm .
