Located offshore from Walpole on the south coast is Saddle island.
Bit of a mission to get there; launch at Coalmine Beach, travel across the Nornalup Inlet, out through the mouth, through the waves, past Danger Mark, around East Point, turn west at Rocky Head and on past Shelly Beach to Saddle Island. Then a bit further to Goose Island and further again to The Breakaways. (...but that is another story.)

The big offshore waves toward the end of the video was a set of two waves that broke on a ledge halfway along Saddle Island. I was out there all morning and only ever saw them once. Managed to not get pounded by them.
