Class 1 - Statistical Distributions for Econometrics - 2022

In this class, I have started the course of Introductory Econometrics for January 2022 batch of Eco Hons students of semester IV. These lecture series would also be applicable to BBE students of semester IV as well all undergraduate courses of UG level (in some cases PG level too) across the country.

Econometrics sets its base in statistics - therefore it is extremely important to have a sound understanding of basic distributions in statistics & concepts of estimation before setting upon the journey in econometrics.

In this 1st lecture, I have covered some of the important distributions of statistics - Normal, T & chi square. I have used appendix of DN Gujarati as the reference material for the lecture.

I welcome all of you on your journey to understand this complex yet critical subject.
