Hitachi was founded as a miningl machinery repair shop in a mine in 1910. Under the founder, Namihei Odaira's noble brief “Contribute to society though the development of superior, original technology and products", each team member such as engineers, manufactureres and sales collaborated each other and dedicated themselves to improve the quality of products and services to customers. It made remakeable growth over the first 10 years and became an independent corporation as “Hitachi, Ltd” in 1920.
