Unlike the classic ukadiche modak with coconut filling, this khoya modak is made plain and shaped using a modak mould.

Prepared especially during Ganesh Chaturthi as prasad for Lord Ganesha, these mawa ke modak are soft, melt-in-mouth, and full of flavor. You can also prepare them for other festivals like Diwali, Raksha Bandhan, Janmashtami, Navratri, or serve as a special sweet for family gatherings. Try this simple and authentic homemade modak recipe and celebrate Ganesh Utsav with joy.


INGREDIENTS:

Milk 3/4 cup
warm milk 1 tbsp
saffron few stands
milk powder 2 cups
sugar half cup
cardamom powder Half tsp
ghee 2 tbsp


Method:

Soak saffron strands in 1 tbsp of warm milk fir 30 minutes.to a bowl add milk powder and sugar mix everything well without lumps .
Heat 1 tbsp ghee pour the prepared mixture to it cook on medium flame stir continuously untill the mixture starts to thicken. Once the mixture starts to thicken add cardamom powder and 1 tbsp of ghee mix it well keep stirring on low flame until the mixture thickens and seperates from the pan once it's done remove to a plate and let it cool down completely .

After that take Modak mould and grease it with a little ghee. fill it with prepared mixture unmould and serve.
