Always cutting raw & loose, Model Home return to Future Times with REV.

First appearing on FT in May 2019 with the album 8, Pat Cain and NAPPYNAPPA’s Model Home project has now spilled out way beyond the local DC area. Their onslaught of numerical albums - 8 aside, all self-released - currently stands at no 17, and recently culminated in the release of One Year, a compilation issued through Warp sub-label Disciples.

Echoing Nappa’s improvised and yet stunningly current lyrical themes of the title track, ‘REV’ represents Model Home in newly-expanded Future Times mode. Dolo Percussion installed as industrial-grade riddim section alongside Pat’s synth/fx and the intense raps of NAPPYNAPPA. Thru multiple Model Home releases and an almost equal pace of other releases and collaborations, Nappa’s rapping is in its own zone, one of the most elevated and excellent rap zones in the world right now, on any level. Butt-naked expression.

“REV” acts as a prelude and proper intro to the sonics on SE, a forthcoming Model Home album due on Future Times in October 2020. The video, directed by Pat Cain and starring Nappa, goes for the classic black and white lightshow jugular, Nappa front and center.

A bonus non-LP cut, “Flesh” acts as a b/w DJ boost to “REV,” originating from a Model Home session recorded for a live-stream that quickly matched Nappa’s rapworld with wobbling drunk bass and Liasons Dangereuse energy. “Excuse me!”
