Nipah Virus Kerala: Here’s How Govt Plans to Prevent Its Spread | Kozhikode News | News Update

Kerala has issued an alert after detecting cases of Nipah virus. Two people were killed and two others were infected with virus in Kozhikode district. This is the fourth Nipah outbreak in Kerala since 2018 . Kerala Health Minister Veena George has said they are monitoring the situation. George said that the virus strain seen in Kerala was the Bangladesh variant. This variant spreads from human to human, has a high mortality rate & is less infectious. Full story here.
