Often associated with Havana’s high society, the cocktail was created during Cuba’s golden era. Named in honor of Mario Garcia Menocal, the El Presidente became known for its refined combination of rum, vermouth, orange Curaçao, and grenadine.

But today, we’re shaking things up with my bold variation – the Coup d'État. By flipping the ratios and introducing sherry, this twist brings new layers of flavor to the iconic drink. How to make the El Presidente cocktail
1.5 oz OR 45 ml Havana Club 3
1.5 oz OR 45 ml Dolin Blanc
1 Tea spoon White Agricole Rhum
1 Tea spoon Orange Curaçao
Half Tea spoon Grenadine
1 Small Dash Angostura bitters
Garnish Orange twist

1.5 oz OR 45 ml Havana Club 7
0.75 oz Fino Sherry
0.5 oz Orange Curaçao
1 Tea spoon Aged Jamaican Rum
1 Tea spoon Grenadine
1 Dash Orange bitters
