It starts as a small trickle and evolves in to a raging rapid wave. We take you behind the scenes of our local river wave that was exceptionally fun to watch this day. This phenomenon occurs very frequently due to the the unique nature of this beach. The river wave is best during large tide swings in the spring and fall. Because of the powerful shorebreak and wave wash ups at this beach you can have multiple creek breaks in a given day and several in a month. It does take a very specific high tide and swell in order for this to occur but many are suprised by how fast the beach goes from having a canyon eroded by a river back to a sandy beach with a berm that blocks up the water.
