Live A Live HD-2D Remake Trailer| Nintendo

In some of the many announcements in today’s gaming world, the Nintendo Direct was a remaster of the 1994 Live A Live game. The game was never released outside Japan, but it will finally arrive at Western shores this summer, bringing with it a flashy HD-2D glow-up and a story spanning many protagonists and time periods.
Live A Live, originally released for the Superfamicom in the 90s, saw players take control of seven different heroes across different eras. As far as earliest memories of the day, players, from the outside, to the near future, and stopping in edo Japanese or a local wild west along the way, can play through each story in whatever order they wish to. The new release of the game is all about redoing originals 16-bit graphical style, updating it to the HD-2D style seen in recent games like Octopath Traveller. Moreover, the game seems, at least partially, voice-acted. It will be seen whether or not voice acting will continue, but some scenes will include it at least.
The game will come to Switch on July 22. Preorders are now open today.
I can not express in words just how insane of a surprise this was. I never thought in a million years that Live A Live would ever get an official localization, let alone a full 3D-2D, voice-actedNintendo released a second trailer of the Live A Live HD-2D Remake.
