Book Review of We Are the Dead by Mike Shackle - The Last War Trilogy - GrimDark Fantasy Perfection

Here is my video book review of We Are the Dead by Mike Shackle, the first novel in The Last War trilogy.

Shackle's debut is impressive, to say the least. This novel is a superb entry into the grimdark subgenre of fantasy, and is perhaps my favorite read of the year so far! Fans of Joe Abercrombie, Mark Lawrence, and George RR Martin should check this out!

Slight correction to my ramblings in the video: Kiyosun is NOT the capital of Jia, it's just a major city. The actual capital is Aisair, which is where Tinnstra's story begins, post-invasion.
