Описание к видео Garforth Main Street 1994 / 2021 Retrospective

A short sequence of shots from 1994 showing Main Street, Garforth near Leeds.
The sequence starts at the junction with Church Lane and Lidgett Lane outside the Library. The Parochial School had recently been demolished and the new Garforth Medical Centre was nearing completion. Construction of adjacent offices had just begun. The sequence finishes at the junctions of Barrowby Lane and Barwick Road.
Businesses and features that have since disappeared include Midland Bank, Motor World, Garforth Sports, Fads, Cellar 5, Fitz the Jewellers, two garages (inc. Trimoco, formally Brown and White) and the public toilets at Town End.
The second part shows the same areas in October 2021.
