I crashed my boyfriends 1000cc motorcycle and almost died || Yamaha R1, New Zealand, YoYoNoSpleen

As a motorcyclist you know every time you get on the bike it's a matter of when not if... That time finally came and I got off very lightly 👌 on 27 December 2019 concussion from hitting the bank, fractured ribs, grade 5 spleen laceration that exploded on impact, lost 2L of blood so off to the hospital, emergency surgery to get it removed with a blood transfusion, 25 staples 🤙 Turned to see where my riding buddies were, i felt the camber of the road change all of a sudden down towards the gutter, and all my weight on one side of the bike, by the time I turned back around the bike was inline with the gutter which was very deep and couldn't pull back out onto the road...worst part is it wasn't even my bike 😣🤦i spent a week in hospital over New Years and still at home recovering. Thank goodness for insurance, Acc (accident cover) and our health system 👍 glad to be in one piece with the help of all the good gear on... Sorry Jelly Moto for crashing your baby
