How to make Moong or Mung Dal Halwa Recipe - Moong dal halwa is a classic Indian sweet dish made with moong lentils, sugar, ghee, and cardamom powder. Moong Dal Halwa is a famous Indian dessert, especially made during the winter months. One of my all-time favourite halwa especially in winter is Moong dal halwa. Moong Dal Halwa - Ground mung bean (split & husked) cooked with sugar syrup, flavoured with saffron & cardamom.
✍🏻𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦:
Moong Dal (मूंग दाल) - 250 grams /1.5 cup
Ghee (घी) - 6-7 spoons
Semolina (सूजी) - 1 spoon
Gram Flour (बेसन) - 1 spoon
Sugar (चीनी) - 400 grams
Water (पानी) - 1/2 cup
Milk (दूध) - 2.5-3 cup
Dry Fruits (सूखे मेवे) - some
Saffron (केसर)
RECIPE:
Take some Moong Dal, wash it properly & put it in strainer. Keep it on a cloth & dry it under fan for 10 mins. Then dry roast the Dal in a pan till it turns crispy. Stir it continuously then grind the roasted Dal.
In a pan, put Ghee, roast some Dry Fruits & take out them. Then put Semolina & Gram Flour in the pan & roast them on slow flame. Then put ground Moong Dal & roast it as well. Put some Water & mix it then put Milk, Saffron Milk in it & stir it continuously on slow flame. Put Sugar in it gradually then cover it & cook it on slow flame.
Put some roasted & chopped Dry Fruits. Serve the Delicious Moong Dal Halwa & enjoy it.
