Through the Screen is a short film produced in 2023 by IOM Indonesia and the Directorate for Protection of Citizens, Directorate General of Protocol and Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Creative Goods Inc. (CGI). Directed by Iqbal Fadly, the film is based on real events of trafficking in persons cases in the online scam industry that are increasingly happening in Southeast Asia. Some of the victims ended up in trafficking and forced labor exploitation, with challenges to return home.

On this year’s World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, the film is launched online for wider public view. Watch the film to learn more about the signs and share it with your communities, so together, we could prevent and reduce the prevalence of trafficking.

The film is made possible with the support from the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM), Office of the International Migration, U.S Department of State through the Asia Regional Migration Program implemented by IOM.

Through the Screen adalah sebuah film pendek yang diproduksi pada tahun 2023 oleh IOM Indonesia dan Direktorat Perlindungan WNI, Ditjen Protokol dan Konsuler, Kemlu RI melalui kolaborasi dengan Creative Goods Inc (CGI). Disutradarai oleh Iqbal Fadly, film ini mengangkat kisah nyata tentang kasus perdagangan orang di industry penipuan online (online scam) yang marak terjadi di kawasan Asia Tenggara. Beberapa dari korban harus melalui situasi perdagangan orang dan eksploitasi kerja paksa, dengan kesulitan untuk kembali ke negara asal.

Dalam rangka memperingati Hari Dunia Melawan Perdagangan Orang, Through the Screen kini dapat ditonton online secara luas oleh masyarakat. Tonton filmya untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut tanda-tanda dari kasus perdagangan orang ini dan bagikan lebih lanjut dengan komunitasmu, sehingga kita dapat bersama-sama mencegah dan mengurangi kasus perdagangan orang.

Film ini dapat diproduksi berkat dukungan dari Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM), Office of the International Migration, Departemen Luar Negeri Amerika Serikat melalui Asia Regional Program yang diimplementasi oleh IOM.
