Medulla Art Gallery is pleased to be one of the collaborating venues for the 2023 art and design exhibition hosted by the UWI Visual Arts Unit, Department of Creative and Festival Arts. The show features work by students in their final year of the Visual Arts Degree programme.

This is the first in-person exhibition by the UWI Visual Arts Unit since the onset of the pandemic. With this in mind, the multi-venue show carries the overarching title: “LIVE.” Audiences can enjoy direct interaction with creative works. The word “live” also suggests that the art and design on display address current, pressing issues in society. Work installed at Medulla Art Gallery all share concerns with ideas of security, comfort, and well-being. Given their common interests, the works at Medulla are curated under the sub-title “A Safe Space.”

Along with works at Medulla, audiences can visit the show’s other partner venue: The Art Society of Trinidad and Tobago, to view a range of art and design pieces that explore varied topics.
