•The Honorable Mary Ann Peters, US Ambassador (ret)•

Ambassador Mary Ann Peters was the CEO of The Carter Center, an international nonprofit organization founded by former President Jimmy Carter and Mrs. Carter, from September 2014 until June 2020. After leaving The Carter Center, Peters was Ambassador-in-Residence and Professor of Practice at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University 2020-23. Starting in the fall of 2024, she will teach a course on “Diplomacy for a Dangerous World” at the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, RI.

Ambassador Peters served as Provost of the U.S. Naval War College 2008-14 and as Dean of Academics at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany 2006-08. A career diplomat for 30+ years, Peters served as U.S. Ambassador to Bangladesh 2000-03, leading the Embassy response to the September 11 attack and earning a Presidential Meritorious Service Award for her work.


•Ashely Davis, Founding Partner, West Front Strategies LLC•

Ashley E. Davis is a lead principal at West Front Strategies, a multi-million dollar lobbying firm she co-founded in 2015. A co-founder of the firm, she oversees advocacy efforts for the interests of her Fortune 500 clients before the legislative and executive branches of the U.S. government.

Ashley’s expertise comes from years working in the Executive Branch. As Special Assistant to National Director (and then Secretary) of Homeland Security Tom Ridge, Ashley directed the daily operations and oversaw the staff at the newly created Office of Homeland Security.

Ashley holds a Masters of International Business from McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University. She sits on several non-profit and corporate Boards such as Turning Point Brands Inc., and The Kennedy Center National Symphony Orchestra and serves as an expert speaker for the Office of U.S. Speaker Program at the Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.


•Congresswoman Teresa Leger Fernandez, NM•
Congresswoman Teresa Leger Fernández represents New Mexico’s 3rd Congressional District. Teresa went on to graduate from Yale and Stanford Law School, and after law school, Teresa worked as an attorney and advocate winning important legal battles to advance voting rights, promote tribal sovereignty, and protect our environment and acequia waters. She also served as an acequia commissioner. She was also a Clinton and Obama presidential appointee and worked as a White House Fellow on housing issues and as Vice Chair of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation.

In Congress, Teresa serves on the House Rules Committee as Ranking Member of its Subcommittee on Legislative and Budget Process. She also serves on the House Committee on Natural Resources as the Ranking Member of its Subcommittee on Indian and Insular Affairs.In addition, she also serves on the House Committee on Education and the Workforce. For her advocacy and work for women’s rights, Teresa’s colleagues voted her to be the Vice Chair of the Congressional Democratic Women’s Caucus. Teresa also serves as a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.

Teresa is the Co-Chair of the National Labs Caucus and the Rural Broadband Caucus. She is also a proud member of the following: Congressional Progressive Caucus, Diabetes Caucus, Labor Caucus, LGBTQ+ Equality Caucus, Mental Health Caucus, National Heritage Area Caucus, Native American Caucus, PFAS Caucus, Pro-Choice Caucus, Rural Caucus, Ski Caucus, and the Assisting Caregivers Today (ACT) Caucus.
